My works- mostly university works. I am, after all, still a student. Though, I do need to put myself out there professionally sooner or later...
Giotteschi (2024, recording forthcoming)
A work for chamber orchestra, inspired by the procession of the faithful in Giotto's Last Judgement in the Arena Chapel.
The Murals of Mur (2024-2025?)
A chamber opera in 8 scenes, drawing directly on the history of Santa Maria de Mur's paintings as told by one of its figures. Scored for solo soprano, violin, cello and electronics.
Scene from The Murals of Mur (May 2023)
A short opera scene concieved during a Spring 2023 class, and the second piece to take inspiration from the murals of Santa Maria de Mur- this time focusing more directly on the history behind it.
Atlant (December 2022)
Inspired by the murals of Santa Maria de Mur displayed in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, this piece is scored for solo piano, paired with improvised choreography by Emma Weller (CFA '24).
Video editing also done by Emma Weller.
re:1300 (April 2022)
This piece for at least 3 unspecified instruments was one of my first attempts to emulate early music- specifically, the style of Machaut and his contemporaries. Composed for Time's Arrow Ensemble, Boston University.
Pilgrim's Procession (April 2022)
This short piano piece was originally conceived as a movement within a suite of medieval-inspired pieces, but has taken on a life of its own as a standalone piece. It is inspired by works such as the Cantigas de Santa Maria and the songs within the Llibre Vermell de Montserrat.
L'Annunciazione (April 2023)
A work for fixed electronics, inspired by the Gardner Annunciation.
